Cameron County and the City of Starbase announced a partnership to restore Boca Chica Beach, addressing 5-20 feet of annual erosion. The Interlocal Cooperation Agreement enables joint efforts in dune restoration, cleanups, wildlife preservation, and securing funding, while ensuring public access. Starbase received dune protection authority from Cameron County, compliant with Texas laws. The County approved the agreement and Starbase will review it on September 25.
This past weekend, Starbase in partnership with Cameron County held a Beach Cleanup at Boca Chica Beach and Hwy 4.
